"The Net" Secret Page

Home

Well obviously you have seen the movie The Net, or you just got lucky.
So here is a little more about me:

Full Name: Christopher Elliott Staton
Date of Birth: March 11, 1971
Place of Birth: Philadelphia, PA

I am 32 years old with a masters in theater. I have a full time job at a local theater here in New Jersey as Technical Director. I spend way to much time working and not enough enjoying life, but, I trying to work on changing that! My first love for now is technical theater, there is an indescribable joy when a show is under way and I have been part of the magic.
I have lived in Jersey my whole life except for some time off at college, (2 years in NC and 3 years in Boston) but of course that doesn’t count. I seem to have this strange love/hate thing for New Jersey, at times I think it is a great place to live but at other times I want to get out as quick as possible. What it probably comes down to is that I am simply comfortable here.
In my free time I tend to be a computer geek, I do some web design (hopefully paying some day), programming, and I build computers from time to time. I consider myself to be an amateur hacker, always trying to push the boundaries of computing and that endless quest to find the hidden information.
I love to ski but unfortunately only seem to be able go for a couple of days each year. Other then that I ride my bike when I can and occasionally do a little kayaking and horse back riding. I do enjoy the winter months a little more, this is largely do to allergies that have just appeared in the last few years. Once I get them back under control I will be ready to romp in the noon day sun. More often then then not my lack of outdoor activity comes down to lack of time or lack of someone to enjoy it with.
As you can see from my lists below my taste in music is a bit eclectic, and it largely depends on my mood, however I listen to allot of Tori Amos, and Celtic music. I do occasionally put on a little classical or new age once in a while to slow things down. And of course there is always Jazz.
Yes, I still live at home, please note however this is a pure financial decision. Grad school took allot out of my pocket book and it is taking some time to catch up financially. I have inherited good financial sense from my father so I decided why should I go further in dept when I don't need to. So in exchange for housework, maintenance work, and allot of tech support, I live at home rent free. Fortunately I have parents that I can bear living with (most of the time).  So the current plan is to eventually buy a house closer to work within the next couple of years.
I have a tendency to be a very quite person, I often wait for things to play out a bit before I get involved. I like to know what I am jumping into before I jump. Once in a while I get motivated to do it my way and when I do stay out of my way, but more often then not I will let others decide (of course always quietly steering things in the right direction.) I enjoy listing and being the friend, I have found being the passenger can often be more fun, because you get to watch!  Don't get me wrong though I can be crazy and fun when the time is right. And I will always strive to be a true gentlemen.
When it comes to down to it I consider myself an agnostic pagan. . . . and now to explain. . . I was baptized and such Episcopalian but never really got into religion. And as I got older and saw all the silliness that people do for there religion and started to not believe in it. Well then in my grad school years I got a chance to read up on Wicca and the other pagan religions, and I found the ideals to be intelligent. As for the agnostic, I am not ready to hedge my bets in any one direction. As an old pagan joke goes "God doesn't like being told what he thinks!" When it comes to my faith very simply put, I like to keep it to myself, keep it real, and make my own decisions. I have also found that I have the occasionally have the ability to sense the future, very rarely and never with great precision. So knowing that the supernatural can't be that far off. I know how many people can be about religion so as you can see, I have found it better sometimes to hide things.
